Prologue-The Prolonged Truth of Fate

"Violet, you know it's dangerous and addicting,we need to stop this game before our lifes are risked.." The gruff voice insisted.
"No Jeff, this game can and will bring us riches!" She growled, her lips curling slyly.
"This is not the Violet I know..what has it done to you?! We have to get rid of it,it must have possessed you..just please,Violet..see through this cure.." Jeff groaned..he was losing his wife to this treacherous game.
Suddenly, the smiling stopped-the ominous wind stopped blowing. Violet's last word's were," She must be revived..and I must face the consequences of my actions..". Jeff wouldn't go down without her,he grabbed hold of her, uttering one last,"Goodbye Violet,goodbye.."

-A Dull Life-

Alec sighed. He lived a rather dull life- he really just pursuited what his parent's intended on the use of his life..when they were alive that is. He had to admit, life was actually fun when his parent's were around..this foster care life was disgusting, disgruntling, and miserable. Switching towns often, meeting new families who are easily frightened away by his boring radiating aura. He was hoping that this next town was for real, though he hoped that for every town and what were the results? Failure, rejecting, stinging, cold, failure.

Mick glanced at the giant foster care home as they drove past on the way home. He saw three triplets fighting over a video game-handheld in one room-the other two kids silently enjoying books from the home library. The excitement from the other room attracted his eyes. The youngest boy had just socked the middle child,he guessed from appearances,in the back. The middle child ceased to grasp the console, even though he was receiving overpowering hits from his younger brother, and older sister. His sister looked about Mick's age. He wished his life was as exciting as those two.

Allie growled, sighed, and walked away from the fight. She didn't need a dumb video game console..no..she needed something more enjoyable..but..what was that? Her life was as dull as watching paint dry, which she had occassionally done-they had re-modeled the rusty old antique store across the street as it was evident it needed re-modeling. Apparently the owner,a crusty old lady had refused for the inside to be re-decorated and modernized-they even bribed that they would dump the old antiques and bring in rare items from old collections, but the lady had refused only uttering an idea for a new paint coloring. The men halfheartedly accepted the idea, though,Allie knew, they really wanted to modernize or tear the place down,it was scaring away people from the town.
